How would you describe your home and interior style?

Marianne describes her style as Japandi, a blend of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian functionality. Her home features clean lines, neutral tones, and natural materials that create a calming and balanced environment. "The Japandi style suits our interior best," she says, perfectly summarising her home's relaxed yet practical feel.

Where do you go for inspiration?

Inspiration comes to Marianne from various sources, including Pinterest, Instagram, and home improvement stores. "On Instagram, there are several influencers who have a beautiful style, and that's very inspiring. I take elements of inspiration from that and combine them with my own ideas. That way, it remains unique." Her thoughtful approach ensures her space remains fresh and personal.

What's your top interior tip?

"Combine items that you like, then you can't easily go wrong," Marianne advises. This simple yet effective tip encourages authenticity and makes creating a space feel truly yours.

How do you like to spend a slow Sunday?

Marianne's ideal Sunday is nice and slow, whether that's out and about or quiet moments at home. "I like to go to the woods with my family and have a drink in a nice coffee bar. At home, I enjoy reading a book or playing a game together." A reminder to savour the little things, a principle reflected in her calm and thoughtful home.

Have you got any tips for choosing artwork?

When it comes to selecting artwork, Marianne believes it's all about how it makes you feel, and we couldn't agree more. Start by choosing pieces you love, and consider how the style and colours complement your space.

"I sometimes consciously choose black accents. This gives some contrast to the neutral colours of the room." This careful balance of opposites helps her artwork stand out while at the same time working cohesively with her interior style.

What's your favourite artwork from the Green Lili collection?

"My first! Shore Thing. However, new paintings often come out, that I always look at. There are always super beautiful ones!" Marianne's appreciation for timeless pieces like Shore Thing reflects her thoughtful approach to decorating, showing how art you love can remain a staple as your style evolves.
